Gerald Rizzer is a pianist, composer, and educator who has been a vital part of Chicago’s music scene for more than 50 years.
As the founder and artistic director of The Chicago Ensemble, he presented innovative chamber programs, championed new American works, and inspired generations of students through his decades of teaching piano, theory, and chamber music at institutions including Sherwood Community Music School and DePaul University. Gerald teaches at the Ravenswood location on Saturdays.
