Choosing a good music teacher starts with finding someone who not only has strong musical skills, but also a teaching style that fits the student’s personality and goals.
Look for a teacher with solid training on the instrument, but pay equal attention to how they communicate and motivate. A great teacher should be encouraging and able to adapt lessons to different learning speeds.
The best sign you’ve found the right teacher is when the student leaves each lesson feeling inspired and eager to keep playing.
